Delivery Zones

Delivery Zones lets you define bands of delivery distance (e.g. 0–3 km, 3–7 km) each with its own delivery fee (flat or per-kilometre), a minimum order amount to qualify, and an estimated delivery time — so pricing and expectations can vary sensibly with how far an order needs to travel.

📍 Menu path: Takeaway & Delivery → Delivery Zones
👤 Who uses it: All roles with the Billing feature enabled

Overview

Each zone is defined by a Min and Max Distance in km (leave Max blank for "and beyond", i.e. unlimited upper bound).

Fee Type is either Flat (a fixed ₹ amount per delivery in that zone) or Per KM (a ₹ rate multiplied by distance) — the form label changes to match your selection.

A zone can be toggled Active/Inactive without deleting it — inactive zones are shown dimmed in the list and presumably excluded from live fee calculation until reactivated.

Minimum Order Amount and Estimated Time are both zone-specific, so a farther zone can require a higher minimum order and quote a longer delivery estimate than a nearby one.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

A far-away order was not charged the expected delivery fee.
Check that a zone actually covers that distance — if no zone's Min/Max range includes the address's distance (and no zone has an open-ended Max), the order falls outside all configured zones.
I deactivated a zone by mistake and lost its settings.
Deactivating does not delete a zone — reopen it and click "Activate" to restore it with all its original fee/minimum/time settings intact.
